This is the right time for them to set up ground rules and assemble all the children for a morning warm-up session to ensure everybody is active. 

Late Mornings

Exercise is an excellent way to begin the day. The childcare worker may engage their children in physical activities such as jumping, hopping, and skipping. The children could also be taken to the park for playtime. Morning activities can include puzzles, painting, storytime and other activities to stimulate young brains and help develop motor skills and cognitive abilities. They may also have to supervise and assist some children during their morning bathroom break. 

Lunch

Some kids bring their lunch boxes, while others do not. In either case, childcare centres usually provide lunch. Childcare workers are in charge of preparing nutritious lunches. Many take advantage of this opportunity to teach children about proper nutrition and table manners. They will also be responsible for checking up on each kid to ensure they have eaten their stomach’s fill. 

Afternoons

A part of the afternoon will be set aside for napping for young children. Older children will not always require a nap. In such cases, they are usually relocated to a separate area for some low-key, relaxing activities. After nap time, the childcare worker will set up other activities for the children, such as drawing or playing music. 

Evenings

Before wrapping up the day, childcare workers may want to chat with children to remind them of what is coming up the next day or to reflect on an activity from the day. When their parents arrive, they may be asked to provide a summary of the day. They might also be asked to keep up a journal on the behaviors of each kid to track their progress.
