On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Computek College proudly celebrated the accomplishments of nearly 340 graduates from programs in healthcare, business, and technology in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Families, friends, faculty, government officials, and community partners joined to honor this milestone, as graduates crossed the stage to begin their professional journeys in Ontario.
Government officials who joined the celebration included the Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario; the Honourable Nolan Quinn, Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence, and Security; Jennifer McKelvie, Member of Parliament for Ajax; Logan Kanapathi, MPP for Markham-Thornhill; and Rob Cerjanec, MPP for Ajax.
This graduation highlighted how career-focused education in Ontario creates opportunities. Graduates leave Computek College equipped with the practical skills, training, and confidence to enter the workforce and make meaningful contributions in their communities and industries.

CompassionTech PSW Training Program
This public–private partnership with the Town of Ajax has trained nearly 700 PSWs to work in hospitals, long-term care homes, and community care settings. The accelerated, nationally recognized, digitally enhanced program includes hands-on experience, with over 80% of graduates employed post-program, helping address Ontario’s growing shortage of nurses and PSWs.
Cybersecurity Skills Training for Newcomers
To address labour shortages in cybersecurity, Computek College partnered with not-for-profit organizations to deliver a pilot program for newcomers. 100 participants received comprehensive training, mentorship, and industry certifications to start careers in high-demand IT and cybersecurity roles.
Evolving Elder-care Initiative
With a growing senior population in Durham Region, Computek College trained 100 volunteers through the Evolving Elder-care program to support over 600 marginalized seniors, providing essential services and strengthening community care.
Integrated Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Program
This 54-week program supports internationally trained early childhood educators. With 16 weeks of practicum and 12 months of post-program career support, students gain professional development in workplace culture, digital literacy, mental health, and financial literacy.
