Integrated Early Childhood Assistance Training Program

Ontario’s childcare sector needs qualified, caring, and culturally diverse professionals — and your experience matters. If you’ve worked or studied in early childhood education outside of Canada, this is your opportunity to bridge your international training into a meaningful career in childcare. Computek College’s Integrated Early Childhood Assistance Training Program is funded by the Ontario Bridge Training Program (OBTP) and designed to help newcomers transition into the Ontario workforce—seamlessly. With a curriculum aligned to industry and employer standards, hands-on experience, and 12 months of post-program support, you’ll graduate career-ready to work in licensed childcare centres across Ontario.

DURATION

- 34 weeks of online learning
- 16-week practicum in childcare centres
- 4 weeks of additional bridging wraparound learning

Support Beyond Graduation

Your journey doesn’t end with a diploma. We’ll walk with you for 12 months after you graduate, offering:

One-on-one job search coaching

Guidance for working with children with special needs

Mental health and resilience support from a licensed psychotherapist

Help navigating Ontario’s childcare employment system

Check Your Eligibility to Enroll

This program is designed for internationally trained individuals. You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 18+ and live in Ontario
  • Have international training and/or experience in early childhood education or a related skilled field
  • Meet CLB 6 or higher in English
  • Are a:
    • Permanent Resident
    • Protected Person or Refugee Claimant with Open Work Permit + 900-series SIN
    • Visitor under Emergency Travel Measure (e.g., CUAET) with Open Work Permit + 900-series SIN
    • Temporary Work Permit holder approved in principle for Permanent Residency
